I’m not a great cook but gave this recipe a try. It came out so delicious!! All my guests raved about it and it was quite simple to make. Thank you!!

This recipe was wonderful! I had to make some modifications due to dietary restrictions. I replaced the heavy cream with LF milk and earth balance butter and removed the shallot; however it was still amazing! My kids were hesitant to try it (because they eat with their eyes!😂), but they loved it too! Thanks for the recipe!

I wasn’t too sure how I’d like this recipe when I made it and prepared myself to dislike it… it turned out so good, it was quick, it made surprisingly few dishes, and I was pleasantly surprised that I went for seconds! 10/10 will be making again!

So glad you were pleasantly surprised! Such a cozy dinner 🙂

This tasted so amazing! I want to try making it with cauliflower gnocchi. The bag I got was frozen, any advice on what to change with heating it up in the dish?

    • replied:

Hi! I think you’ll want to thaw them in the microwave before adding them to the sauce so that they don’t get gummy.

  • says:

Wonderful, tasty, easy and filling. Love this recipe.

SO GOOD. I used half-and-half instead of heavy cream because it’s what I had. Highly recommend some crusty bread to dip in the sauce 🤌🏻

Absolutely delicious, I’ve found that pan frying the gnocchi and adding sauce to heat up right before eating is the best way to eat leftovers!

Great tip for reheating! Glad you enjoyed!

This was super yummy! My hubby who is picky about what recipes he asks for again and this recipe was one he’d like again! My kiddos even ate more than 1 bites 😉
We used mini gnocchi and plan to try ground sausage instead of sliced chunks next time.

    • replied:

So happy to hear that! Yes, great idea to try ground sausage, too 🙂

My incredibly picky and discerning husband took one bite, gasped and said “Wow, my love… You’ve outdone yourself.” To top it off, even my very picky 4 year old and 22 month old enjoyed it!

    • replied:

Aw love that so much! Perfect family dinner 🙂

Oh Monique! Another home run recipe! I made this Tomato Gnocchi recipe tonight for a girls night dinner and it was a huge hit. I followed your recipe exactly as written and it was absolutely delicious and received rave reviews! Not a morsel left over. And not only is it absolutely delicious, it’s super easy to make and all in one pan! And the aroma! I’ve made a number of your recipes and every one has been a winner. Thank you so much!

Mine was SO salty that I don’t think I can save the dish, other than wash off the sausage and try to use in another meal. I did use lower sodium chicken broth but next time I won’t add any salt and see how it is. I eat chicken sausages all the time and they aren’t salty. I think the flavor was good and an easy dish. I’ll try it again but no salt! LOL

    • replied:

Sorry to hear that! With 1 teaspoon salt in the whole recipe I’m not sure where too much of that salty flavor came from. Were the chicken sausages you used for this pretty salty? Feel free to omit the added salt next time!

Incredible recipe, I’m obsessed. And it holds up great for weekday leftovers for lunch. Sending the recipe to all the foodies I know.

    • replied:

      Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed!

  • says:

I don’t know if it was the chicken sausage, but it was a little too salty! I feel like I didn’t need to add any salt

    • replied:

So strange! Did you use low-sodium chicken broth? Double check that, and then yes, I would maybe taste test the chicken sausages you used to see how salty they are.

Made this tonight for our very discriminating family of foodies and we’re all over the moon with this recipe! It is rare that I find great Italian food recipes given my mother is full-blooded Italian and it is hard to impress us but kudos to you on this. I used half and half for the cream and regular Italian sausage because it was what I had in my frig, and let the sauce reduce before adding the gnocchi, spinach and parm. Molto bene!

    • replied:

Amazing! So happy to hear that everyone was impressed!
